How to Use bits and pieces

Bead weaving as every serious craft takes time and not always all I imagined in my head as a next fabulous project works. Sometimes colors are not going together in unison very well, and sometimes the whole construction does not make any sense when put together. I used to rip these misshapen pieces apart and reuse beads again and again. After awhile I got tired of fighting with this task and started just to put them away out of my sight to a box. The box started to grow like a monster... at the end, my collection of discarded pieces was simply too huge. One day sorting through these poor beaded babies I started putting them together trying to figure out what to do. And then I realized that I can save a lot of time with both designing and beading by using these forgotten samples together! This way I had my first project done this way...Shooting Star brooch. The pieces came from three different designs, one being leftover from some of my TOHO Challenge pieces. I made the first brooch by stitching all old samples (main flower, small flower and leaves) and later I made a new sample, the proper project adjusting colors and construction. Then finally my brooch is ready to go!
